Location: The sachets are glued on according to the gluing position sketch, however, a distance of at least 30mm to the binding, at least 20mm to the trim, at least 20mm to the header and at least 20mm to the footer must be maintained. Adhesion tolerances of +/– 5–10mm and parallel deviations of +/– 5mm are to be taken into account.

In the case of a head lay-up the sachets can only be positioned by machine on the first side of the carrier product or on the first side of a 16-page sheet.

In general, a placement on all pages is possible, but only manually.

Voluminous product samples should be positioned in the top or bottom or front or binding-side half of the carrier product to ensure cross-stacked package formation without manual intervention.

Shape: Samples of goods should be designed in a rectangular shape and be bendable.

The thickness of product samples must not exceed 2mm.

Materials/cover: Product samples should consist of plastically deformable materials that return to their original shape after the bending process. 
The melting point of the product sample wrapping must be above 180°C. Strip gluing on the outer edge parallel to the binding!

The wrapping of the product sample must withstand a burst pressure of 50 bar for 15 minutes. This corresponds to a force of 10 kN on an area of 20 sq. cm. 
Liquid product samples should be packed in aluminum bags.

Pages 5 and 6 (inside) must also protrude 5mm from the binding. Glued inserts with an 8-page window fold must be narrower overall than the trimmed width of the magazine. The inner sheets are additionally 10mm shorter at the binding.

5.1 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS SACHETS:

At least 200 items are necessary for a production test . Production approval can only be given by us.

Location: The sachets are glued on according to the gluing position sketch, however, a distance of at least 30mm to the binding, at least 20mm to the trim, at least 20mm to the header and at least 20mm to the footer must be maintained. Adhesion tolerances of +/– 5–10mm and parallel deviations of +/– 5mm are to be taken into account.

In the case of a head lay-up the sachets can only be positioned by machine on the first side of the carrier product or on the first side of a 16-page sheet.

In general, a placement on all pages is possible, but only manually.

Voluminous product samples should be positioned in the top or bottom or front or binding-side half of the carrier product to ensure cross-stacked package formation without manual intervention.

Shape: Samples of goods should be designed in a rectangular shape and be bendable.

The thickness of product samples must not exceed 2mm.

Materials/cover: Product samples should consist of plastically deformable materials that return to their original shape after the bending process. The melting point of the product sample wrapping must be above 180°C. Strip gluing on the outer edge parallel to the binding!

The wrapping of the sample must withstand a burst pressure of 50 bar for 15 minutes. This corresponds to a force of 10 kN on an area of 20 sq. cm. Liquid product samples should be packed in aluminum bags.

The processing allowance for provided sachets is at least 5%. In the event of under-delivery, complete placement is not guaranteed. Please indicate where the product sample is to be phased out.

Incorrect placement of approx. 2% is customary in the industry.

5.2 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS SUPPLEMENTS:

5.3 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS GLUED INSERTS:

On the adhesive binder, the glued insert is bound along like a single sheet during collation. Glued inserts can be placed between two sheets. 

For 6-page glued inserts, the pages 3 to 6 must be narrower than the trimmed width of the magazine. Pages 5 and 6 (inside) must also protrude 5mm from the binding.  Glued inserts with an 8-page window fold must be narrower overall than the trimmed width of the magazine. The inner sheets are additionally 10mm shorter at the binding.

Glued insert with flap: Format width of the flap to the front and back: At least half of the magazine width, up to max. 13mm from the binding

In the case of a head lay-up, the products can only be positioned on the first side of the carrier product. In the case of a footer lay-up, the positioning option is on the last side of the carrier product.

Voluminous products must be checked in advance (see point 6 – Delivery of product samples). The thickness must not exceed 2mm.
